This contract opportunity spans from August 25 through June 18, providing vital services and emotional support within a dynamic school environment near Sterling Heights, MI. Key Requirements:

• Active certification as a School Social Worker (SSW approval through the MDE is required)
• Professional experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Capacity to manage a caseload of 50-60 students, with flexibility as needed
• Strong collaboration skills for working alongside teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies
• Excellent communication, organization, and crisis-intervention abilities
• Passion for fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver counseling and social-emotional interventions to students, individually and in groups
• Conduct assessments and offer recommendations for supportive services tailored to students’ needs
• Provide crisis support and intervention as necessary
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop strategies that address barriers to learning
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
• Advocate for student needs and help implement plans supporting academic, social, and emotional growth
• Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
