Pharmacy Admin Assistant

: Village Lane Rx is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our pharmacy staff, the successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our pharmacy. The Pharmacy Admin Assistant will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, assisting with customer inquiries, and supporting the overall workflow within the pharmacy. ***This position is onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, in the North Richland/Colleyville area at our closed door pharmacy. NO REMOTE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED***
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pharmacist in Charge with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and documentation.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain and update pharmacy records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure pharmacy environment.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from customers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Assist in keeping up-to-date with changes in pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other pharmacy staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in recordkeeping for controlled substances in compliance with regulations.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and organizing paperwork.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in pharmacy administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
