Job Opportunity: Surgical Oncologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-certified Surgical Oncologist to enhance our dedicated team, which currently includes another surgical oncologist and an advanced practice provider. We seek a proactive and collaborative physician who is enthusiastic about innovation and eager to contribute to the growth of our established statewide cancer service line, influencing the future of surgical oncology in central Iowa and a tertiary service area serving 1.5 million residents. Candidates requiring J-1 or H-1B visas are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgeries related to solid tumors, including cytoreduction HIPEC, major gastrointestinal resections, thyroid/parathyroidectomies, Whipple procedures, and wide local excisions with sentinel lymph node mapping.
• Utilize the DaVinci Xi robotic platform equipped with teaching consoles.
• Engage in onsite medical imaging, laboratory services, and pharmacy operations.
• Conduct clinic sessions for two half days per week.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Participate as faculty in the General Surgery Residency program.

Compensation and Incentives

• Recruitment incentive of $200,000.

We offer a comprehensive range of systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.

Integrative Oncology and Patient Support Services

Our program includes extensive support for patients and survivors, featuring dieticians, social workers, palliative care, mental health services, support groups, sexual health counseling, and integrative therapies such as music, art, yoga, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM).
