Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,717-$2,826 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Work setting: hospital maternity care environment. Schedule: 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications as prescribed, perform assessments, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and ancillary nursing staff; coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesiology, neonatal teams, and other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to support safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold patient safety and infection control practices, and participate in care planning and care coordination.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver direct, coordinated nursing care using the nursing process.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
