Pay range: $2,476-$2,614 per week. Assignment type: Travel - Temporary; setting: inpatient obstetric unit. Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients in the L&D unit, applying established nursing processes and standards.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with procedures, and respond to maternal/fetal changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate as appropriate within the team.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions; participate in discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work in an obstetric/L&D setting; supervisory responsibilities preferred
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
