Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in Louisiana, BLS, ACLS, CPI (12-month blue card)

Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience, EPIC documentation experience

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert nursing care to ICU patients, respecting privacy and individual needs
  • Utilize the nursing process effectively to assess and monitor patient health
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Adapt care to meet diverse patient requirements and clinical conditions
  • Document patient information accurately using EPIC or other electronic systems
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Lead and delegate tasks within your team, fostering a supportive environment
  • Educate patients and families on health, treatment plans, and post-discharge care

What You Need

Required:

  • Valid RN license in Louisiana
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • CPI certification (12-month blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • 2+ years of ICU RN experience, including EPIC documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Experience in critical care specialty areas
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
