Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerAthens, Texas, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$1,618.06/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN with prior travel and ICU experience for a 13-week assignment requiring TX or compact RN licensure.DetailsWork in a 10-bed ICUNight shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00), with 36 or 48 hour optionsPatient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3Epic charting system experience requiredRequirementsActive TX or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of considerationCurrent certifications: BLS, ACLS, with NIHSS and TNCC preferredMinimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience requiredPrior travel nursing experience requiredSkilled in IV therapy, arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and PICC line careExperience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioningProficient in cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac monitoringExperience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failureSkilled in CVA/acute stroke management and IV insulin protocolsExperience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care and Swan-Ganz monitoring preferredTeaching hospital and community hospital experience preferredAdditional InformationProvide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex, multisystem conditionsAssist with chest tube insertion/removal and procedural sedation administration/monitoringComplete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signingComplete onsite orientation modules averaging 4-6 hours for RNsCandidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not acceptedCandidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not acceptedFormer staff must wait one year before returning as a travelerNo more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientationTravel pairs or groups are not acceptedFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this roleHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
