Growing real estate development firm seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our small finance team and report directly to the CFO. Great opportunity for a public accountant looking to move into industry with strong mentorship, visibility, and reasonable work hours.  

Responsibilities: • Journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions 

• Balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities 

• Financial statement, consolidation, and cash flow preparation 

• CAM reconciliation support 

• Audit and tax return support 

• Maintain Excel schedules and workpapers 

Requirements: • 2+ years of public accounting experience (Audit, Assurance, or Tax) 

• Strong GL, accrual, and financial statement knowledge 

• Advanced Excel skills 

• Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated 

Preferred: • CPA or active CPA candidate

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting or closely related hands-on work supporting general ledger processes.
• Practical experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, accrual accounting, and account reconciliations.
• Strong ability to prepare financial statements and support cash flow reporting and consolidations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, lookup functions, complex formulas, and disciplined file management practices.
• Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and deliver reliable results with limited supervision.
• Background in real estate, property accounting, or multi-entity environments is helpful.
• CPA certification or active progress toward licensure is preferred.
