Hacienda is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist the company in maintaining and enhancing the company’s financial reporting. This position requires a highly skilled and proactive professional who can work independently toward company goals. Candidates should have vast experience in financial accounting and reporting as well as the ability to manage a team. A day in the life… Performing and/or overseeing month-end close procedures Produce complete monthly financial statements accurately and on time Maintain compliance under GAAP Perform reconciliations of financial accounts Maintain fixed assets depreciation Plan and oversee inventory counts and analyze results Assist in budgeting processes Prepare special reports as necessary for reporting to Executives and Board of Directors Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Analyze company expenditures and cash flow Supervise junior accountants and other finance staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks Lead or participate in ad hoc financial projects such as system implementation or process improvements. Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives, such as expansion into new markets or product lines Required skills.… Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exam highly preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, Some experience in public accounting setting highly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience across a broad range of accounting functions such as cash management, receivables, payables, purchasing, and expense reporting.
