Washington State Licensed Mechanical Engineer

To support the design development of various reactor structures and components, the contract Senior Mechanical Engineer (Supports) will work remotely, focusing on creating design solutions compliant with ASME Section III standards and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities Design solutions for reactor structures and components, ensuring compliance with ASME Section III standards Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for structural supports used in nuclear facilities Collaborate with quality teams and regulatory bodies for audits, reviews, and certifications Required qualifications B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 8 years of equipment/component design experience; relevant M.S. degree credited as 2 years, PhD as 4 years Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) Deep understanding of structural and seismic design Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III preferred
