Assistant Café Manager — Lead, Mentor & Elevate Service

Responsibilities Lead and support daily operations of the café, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and customer service flow Act as a mentor and team leader , offering on-the-floor coaching, support, and accountability to baristas and other team members Model excellent hospitality by engaging customers warmly and resolving any concerns with care and professionalism Ensure product quality and consistency , including overseeing espresso preparation, drink accuracy, and cleanliness standards Manage inventory by tracking usage, placing orders, and minimizing waste through thoughtful systems and communication Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members, ensuring they understand and embody our values and service standards Contribute to team culture by promoting open communication, recognizing great work, and helping resolve interpersonal challenges constructively Help implement systems and procedures that improve efficiency, safety, and consistency without compromising the guest experience Qualifications At least 2+ years in food service An approachable people-person with a high level of emotional intelligence, patience, compassion and problem-solving skills Passion for coffee, operations, and community Previous experience in a management role Benefits Employee discounts on food and beverages and retail.
