Job Overview A law firm seeks a Registered Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property Department in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will work under the direction of supervising attorneys and the Paralegal Manager, supporting the firm's active IP practice in telecommunication, software, and related technologies. Duties Draft applications and responses to office actions for US and foreign applications. Support attorneys in technical aspects of post-grant proceedings, invalidity and non-infringement opinions, and patent litigation. Requirements Admitted to practice before the USPTO.3 years (6 years preferred) of experience as a registered patent agent.Industry experience in technology or engineering companies is a plus. Education Master's or Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline. Bachelor's degree with significant industry experience may be considered. Certifications Registered Patent Agent with the USPTO. Skills Proficient in Westlaw, patent-related databases, and MS Office Suite. Excellent analytical, technical, and critical-thinking skills.
