Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Registered Nurses with a strong background in Stepdown and Progressive Care (PCU) are sought for a 13-week contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will excel at delivering patient-centered care on a fast-paced PCU unit, utilizing critical care expertise and superb assessment skills. This is a night shift role, working three 12-hour shifts per week.

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Overtime considerations after 48 hours weekly
• No block scheduling; consecutive shifts may be prioritized but are not guaranteed

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with 2+ years of current experience in Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry settings
• Proficient in administering and managing medication drips
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate, and deliver skilled and compassionate care for acutely ill patients in the PCU/stepdown setting
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care plans
• Delegate and supervise tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff
• Provide patient and family education, supporting optimal health outcomes
• Facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team and with patients/families
• Identify variances from patient goals, participate in solutions, and ensure follow-through

$1,728 - $1,890/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
