Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a census of up to 28–29 private-bed rooms, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6–7
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Monitor and manage patients on remote telemetry (no bedside monitors; monitoring performed remotely by monitor technician)
• Administer and manage drips including Heparin and MSO4 for comfort measures; no cardiac drips required
• Support respiratory patients on BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow oxygen, all managed in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Work within a self-scheduling and blocked-schedule environment, including every-other-weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and two required Fridays per schedule period

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania (any license history hits must be disclosed at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification (only required certification)
• Comfort and experience working with both infectious and non-infectious patient cohorts simultaneously within the same unit
• Ability to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed
• Compliance with facility dress code: navy blue scrubs and navy blue jackets only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with post-surgical or orthopedic patient populations
• Familiarity with palliative, hospice, or end-of-life care
• Experience working with remote telemetry monitoring workflows
