M&A Analyst / Deal Coordinator

Position Overview

The M&A Analyst/ Deal Coordinator works alongside the Brokers on every deal, managing all phases of sell-side transactions from initial valuation and client onboarding through buyer outreach, due diligence, and close. This includes data collection, financial analysis, and completing CIM/CBR business valuations for sellers- recasting complex financial statements and normalizing SDE and EBITDA to identify qualified buyers and run a disciplined, confidential process that produces competitive outcomes. On the buyer side, the M&A Analyst/Deal Coordinator controls the pipeline from NDA signed through buyer qualification, IOI/LOI, and closing. The role also posts new listings to marketing websites, maintains our CRM (GoHighLevel), builds the data rooms and marketing materials for each engagement, and works closely with our marketing team on lead generation. This role is based out of Cincinnati, Ohio; expect mostly in-person training during the first few months, with a mix of remote work and regular Zoom/Teams collaboration once up to speed. We’re also focused on high-quality (5-star) reviews and reputation for MGL Business Solutions, and clear, concise communication and teamwork with Brokers/ CBI’s at MGL.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance/Economics, Project Management, along with business or marketing background a plus. (Associate’s degree plus relevant experience considered).

• Sales aptitude and desire to become certified as a Certified Business Intermediary/ CEPA in the future.

• Highly organized and the ability to multi-task on several deals and the self-discipline to do it remotely.

• Comfortable reading P&L, balance sheet and tax return, along with models in Excel.

• Knowledge of CRM systems. (GoHighLevel is our platform) and other business platforms.

• Strong communication and advanced customer service/ networking skills.

Essential Job Functions

· Data Collection, Deal Modeling and Financial Analyst for small to middle market businesses.

• Completing CIM/CBR/ Business Valuations for all Sellers which requires accounting and finance background to complete financial reports for the business.

· Posting all new listings to marketplace websites (BizBuySell, MGL, BusinessBroker.net)

· Controlling the Buyer pipeline: NDA signed, Buyer qualification for the deal; Letter of Intent to closing on the business for sale.

· Work directly with Brokers and Marketing Coordinator towards exceeding goal attainment.

· Managing Seller Lead Generation (Business Exit Readiness, telemarketing, SMS, email, etc.)

• Maintain and management of CRM System, GoHighLevel with customer databases.

• Support sponsorships for golf outings and other social functions for lead generation.
