Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician Northridge, California. This role involves sterilizing and disinfecting medical equipment and supplies within an acute care setting. The position requires hands-on experience in sterile processing with a focus on high-level disinfection and sterilization techniques. Candidates must be certified sterile processing technicians with at least two years of experience and hold current BLS certification.

Job Details:

• Certifications: Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) through IAHCSMM or CBSPD, with BLS certification.
• Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience.
• Location & Schedule: Northridge, California; 8-hour shifts scheduled during evenings from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with the minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Equipment Used: Steris, Sterad.
• Common patient equipment and supplies to sterilize/disinfect include high-level disinfection, VP Plasma, and steam sterilization.
• Shift notes: 8-hour shifts, rotating every other week with shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Additional information: No float requirements; hospital policy allows cancellation of up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
• Certification & Licensing: Valid license to submit required.
• Trauma Level & Care Setting: Level 2 trauma center within an acute care environment.
• Start Date: 09/01/2026.
