Location The Reserve at Ashley Lake - 5217 Cedar Lake Rd Business Job Description Overview Building cleaning workers – including porters, janitors, maids, housekeeping cleaners, window washers and rug shampooers – keep premises of commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas Wet- or dry‑mop floors, shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, pressure wash, remove gum and graffiti Make minor repairs, paint, carpentry, replenish bathroom supplies Landscape and snow removal Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies Dust furniture and equipment Replace light bulbs Transport small equipment or tools between departments Set up tables and chairs in auditoriums, meeting rooms or halls Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience and less than 1 year of prior experience in working on a commercial or multi-unit residential property.
