About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement and Philanthropic Engagement to lead its fundraising and development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's infrastructure to raise funds, overseeing all revenue-generating activities, and playing a key role in developing fundraising strategies. This includes maintaining a donor portfolio, cultivating and soliciting gifts, and diversifying revenue streams. The role also involves financial management, team leadership, and ensuring a culture that attracts and retains top-quality staff. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree or equivalent experience, at least 10 years in a senior development position, and a strong knowledge of and passion for the key issues the company addresses. Applicants for the Vice President of Advancement and Philanthropic Engagement position at the company should be motivated by a bold vision and have a proven track record in fundraising and development. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and with diverse teams. A background in social science research, policy analysis, or public education, particularly in the areas of pay equity, reproductive justice, childcare, work/family policies, and workplace protections, is preferred.
