Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Driver Position in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or local contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry points, badge access activity, and visitor processing while assisting with security-related procedures for a fast-paced technology location.
- Support incident reporting, policy enforcement, and after-hours building checks in accordance with Allied Universal standards and client site expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
