Job DescriptionThis is a Senior FPGA Engineer position in the Transport and Switching FPGA team. Architectural / top-level ownership of sophisticated FPGA designs both data path and controlCan work with minimal direction, exercises good judgment in achieving project/department goalsAid in project planningInvolved in all aspects of FPGA designConception / architectureTop-level partitioning / backend / constraintsRTL codingVerificationLab bringup / debug / validationWork with hardware and software design teams during design and integration phasesWork with verif prime to develop verification strategiesWork with designers to develop lab test strategiesConsult and work with product architects and PLMDemonstrate experience to guide management in technology and design decisionsMentoring of junior team membersIdentify IP (re-)use both in-house and third partyStay on top of technology and product developments in the FPGA spaceEvaluation of new tools and processesAttend vendor and industry conferencesSupport IT / PVCustomer issue investigation / resolutionWhat technical experience and personal skills are required for this role?Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent8 years validated experience as an FPGA/ASIC design engineerProven technical management of large sophisticated FPGA devices with area and timing challengesExcellent communications skillsAbility to balance multiple tasks/responsibilities at the same time Experience/knowledge outside of FPGA: board and/or embedded s/w knowledge an assetOutstanding RTL design skillsDetailed understanding of back-end constraints and entry into vendor flowDetailed knowledge of the latest design tools (i.e. Vivado, Quartus)Experience with UVM verification environmentsKnowledge of transport system design and related protocols (OTN/SONET, Ethernet, etc).Knowledge of protocols such as FC, SDI video, IB, CPRI is an asset Verilog/VHDL, SystemVerilog/UVMScripting (Tcl/Perl)LinuxIP integrationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal and team skillsHighly motivated and creativePassionate about long term sustainabilityWell organized, thorough, and detail-orientedJob #: 21-10465 Location: Atlanta, GAOnsite Flexibility: All Onsite
