In this role, you'll inspect treated utility poles to ensure they meet strict industry and customer standards. You'll work closely with plant operations, supporting safety, quality, and performance across the yard.Location: Broken Bow, Oklahoma | 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Overtime as needed) Starting pay is $20 an hour with $1/hour shift differentialKey ResponsibilitiesInspect treated poles for compliance with ANSI, REA, AWPA, and customer specificationsIdentify defects and apply proper grading rules based on relevant standardsPhysically roll poles with third party inspector to visually inspect each polePerform penetration and retention testing on treating chargesTitrate treating solution as requiredAccurately complete and maintain inspection records and documentationCommunicate inspection results with plant and quality leadershipMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaCollaborate with internal and independent quality inspectorsOther yard duties as neededWhat We're Looking ForEducation: High school diploma or equivalentExperience working outdoors in variable weather conditionsHands-on manual labor a plus (consistently lift 50 pounds)Previous quality control or inspection experience is a plusSkills & Requirements:Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) ANSI, REA, AWPA, and ASTM standardsAbility to read a tape measure accuratelyComfortable working around and on pole piles, including climbing laddersSolid math skills and attention to detailGood communication and record-keeping abilitiesCommitment to safety and proper PPE useFamiliarity with inventory systems is helpfulBENEFITSHealth, dental, and vision insurance (with HRA and FSA)401(k) with company matchShort and long-term disability insuranceLife insurancePaid holidays and generous paid time offProfessional development opportunitiesEmployee assistance and employee/community hardship programsAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERBell Lumber & Pole is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
