October 30 - November 4, 7 AM - 7 AM
Potential for one week per month ongoing

Shift Description
Call only coverage
In-house call
Call response time: 30 minutes

Requirements
Board certified in Pulmonary Disease
Fellowship required
Licensed in Texas or IMLC
ABLS
ACLS
ATLS
BLS
PALS

Required Procedures / Skills
Critical care practice setting including medical cardiac arrest/failure, respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, OD/poisoning, drowning
Surgical care including pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardio/thoracic
Trauma
Burn care
Insertion of PA catheter
Insertion of intra-aortic balloon pump
Temporary pacemaker
ICP evaluation and management
Dialysis catheter placement
Diagnostic and therapeutic taps (Lumbar puncture + Paracentesis)
Pulmonary function testing
Interpretation
Ventilation management
Invasive airway management including ETT, NT, tracheostomy
Non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP and CPAP
Chest tube insertion
Pleurodesis
Central line insertion
Arterial line insertion
Thoracentesis
Bronchoscopy
Endotracheal biopsy
Transbronchial biopsy
Bronchial alveolar lavage
Foreign body extraction
Stent placement
Laser procedures
Pleural biopsy

Inpatient setting
Patients per shift: 15
Admissions required: 3
Bed count: 26
Rounding required
Support staff: 4 APPs
Trauma Level 3
PEDs Level 3
Credentialing timeframe: 15 days
EMR: Athena / Medhost
