How you will enjoy your day : The Director of Resort Operation at Enchantment will be responsible for the successful management of all resort day-to-day operations, including Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Resort Activities, Retail, Maintenance and Landscaping. The primary focus of responsibility is evaluating and improving guest service as well as the efficiencies of the division’s departments. This hands-on leader will be accountable for the effortless and seamless movement of guests in and out of the resort and for providing exceptional levels of guest service throughout the guests’ stay. Ensure smooth running operations and maintain financial responsibility and profitability over designated areas with a proper balance of enhanced customer service.

Work Performed :

1. Directs and controls the activities of the Front Office, Concierge, Bell Staff, Valet, Housekeeping, Laundry, Food & Beverage, Resort Activities, Maintenance and Landscaping.
2. Oversee and have a working knowledge of all operating systems and procedures.
3. Ability to deal effectively with all departments on a daily basis to ensure high standards of guest services based on Forbes standards.
4. Develop deep relationship with Forbes team, trainer, and Quality Assurance staff.
5. Assures that standards are met, guests and employees are satisfied, and problems are promptly resolved.
6. Ensure that all guests’ issues are addressed in a timely manner.
7. Effectively supervises all areas including coaching and counseling, and disciplinary action as necessary.
8. Conduct performance reviews as necessary
9. Ensure that department profitability objectives are met. Seek new ways to grow revenues and profits.
10. Monitor and control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit of the resort.
11. Monitors and controls other divisional expenses such as supplies and equipment.
12. Assists in preparing business forecasts. Make suggestions that will improve revenue, reduce cost and increase guest satisfaction.
13. Interact with VIP’s, Homeowners, and Meeting planners as necessary.
14. Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
15. Ensure that all training programs are implemented in operations in accordance with Forbes and Resort standards.
16. Manage guest feedback via Revinate and cooperate with departments to increase guest satisfaction.
17. Collaborate with Managing Director on HOA, Development and projects needs.
18. Work with Human Resources to ensure staff satisfaction and proper staff management.
19. Collaborate with Mii amo General Manager to ensure smooth guest experience between both properties.
20. Know all safety and emergency procedures for guests and employees and understand accident prevention policies.
21. Other duties as assigned.

Supervision Exercised : Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Lodging, Activities Director, Director of Engineering, Landscaping Manager, Director of Retail.

Supervision Received : Managing Director

Responsibility & Authority :

1. Maintain a high level of guest service and discipline at all times in all guest services areas.
2. Uphold the resort commitment to hospitality.
3. Serve as a member of the Executive Committee

Minimum Requirements :

A college degree preferably specializing in hotel management, business administration or equivalent experience is required. Three to Five years’ previous experience as a Director of Operations / Resort Manager or General Manager at a luxury resort. Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Computer skills required; advanced PMS experience preferred. Strong guest and team member relations skills. Good command of the English language. Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule, able to work morning/afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays.
