Job Description

This role focuses on basic mechanical assembly and the installation of pre-built wire harnesses in a production environment. It is well-suited for individuals with hands-on experience or strong mechanical aptitude, including those with backgrounds in automotive work, farm or ranch equipment, construction, or general labor who want to grow into manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical assembly, including fastening components, turning screws, and fitting parts according to specifications.
• Install pre-built wiring harnesses and route wiring accurately based on provided instructions and diagrams.
• Read and follow basic blueprints and assembly diagrams to complete tasks correctly.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during assembly and fabrication activities.
• Assist with quality checks to verify that assemblies meet required standards and are completed correctly.
• Support machine and production equipment setup as needed in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain consistent output and product quality.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support a strong team-oriented culture.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of mechanical or wiring issues under guidance when necessary.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform basic mechanical assembly, including fastening components, turning screws, and fitting parts.
• Ability to install and route pre-built wiring harnesses according to instructions.
• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints and assembly diagrams.
• Competence using basic hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and other common tools.
• Ability to use power tools safely and efficiently in a production environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn new skills.
• Reliability and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; no prior experience required when training is provided.
• Alternatively, 6 months to 2 years of experience in assembly, automotive or equipment work, or construction or general labor involving tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with production equipment or in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with machine setup or assisting with machine setup.
• Familiarity with fabrication tasks and the use of tape measures for accurate measurements.
• Basic blueprint reading skills beyond simple diagrams.
• Experience in construction, general labor, or related hands-on roles.
• Exposure to welding, electrical work, wiring, or harness installation is a plus.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical or wiring issues under supervision.
• Comfort using a variety of hand tools and power tools in a yard or shop setting.

Work Environment

The position is based in a yard-style manufacturing setting with exposure to outdoor-like conditions. Temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and wearing appropriate attire for the environment. The team operates with a strong, collaborative culture and often works long hours to meet production demands, including occasional 12-hour shifts during peak periods. Work involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment in an active, hands-on manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yuba City, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Yuba City,CA.
