HR Generalist

Role Join a growing team where people matter. HeartLand LLC is seeking an experienced, Human Resources Generalist to serve as a trusted partner to our leaders and employees. In this role, you'll: Partner with leaders to recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent across the organization. Serve as the local HR resource, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and company policies. Ensure compliance with employment laws while maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation. Support payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS processes with accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate recruiting activities including sourcing, interviews, background checks, offers, and onboarding. Assist with safety initiatives, workers' compensation administration, and the H-2B Guest Worker Program. Help foster a positive, engaged workplace culture that supports both employees and business goals. Qualifications We are seeking a professional with these qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred but not required. Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and recruiting. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (ADP or similar) and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
