No college degree is required.What You'll DoDesign domestic hot and cold water systemsDesign sanitary waste and vent systemsDesign storm drainage and natural gas systemsWork with specialty plumbing systems as neededPerform plumbing calculations, including pipe sizing, fixture units, water pressure/flow, pumps, hot-water demand, and gas sizingDevelop plumbing floor plans, restroom plans, riser diagrams, isometric drawings, equipment connection details, schedules, and construction detailsApply applicable plumbing and building codes and accessibility requirementsCoordinate plumbing designs with HVAC, electrical, structural, and architectural plansIdentify and resolve design conflicts and clashesCoordinate pipe elevations, ceiling-space requirements, penetrations, and equipment locations with other disciplinesQualifications2+ years of plumbing design experience preferredEntry-level candidates are encouraged to applyNo college degree requiredKnowledge of plumbing systems, construction documents, and applicable codesAbility to read and interpret architectural and xhyhwjd engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility and willingness to learn and grow within the roleCompensation & Bonus$80,000–$90,000 for entry-level candidatesSalary increases based on experience and level of responsibilityMerit-based bonus program weighted on a 1–5 scaleEmployees start at a level of 3, with bonus potential increasing or decreasing based on individual contributionsBonuses are not guaranteed and are based on company success
