Registered Nurse - Radiology

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in an interventional radiology setting, supporting image-guided invasive procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort. This travel RN position requires technical proficiency in radiology procedures and collaboration with imaging teams to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and assist with advanced interventional radiology procedures, including catheter placements, stent insertions, and IV therapy.
• Monitor patients throughout imaging-guided procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
• Document procedures, patient responses, and interventions accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with radiology physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license with at least 1-year experience in acute care hospital settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech EMR and radiology procedures.
• Possess valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; PALS preferred.
• Prior experience with imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, or MRI is highly preferred.
• Show flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive, patient-centered attitude.
