Job Summary

Our client seeks a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support patient care, clinical operations, and administrative tasks. The primary goals include assisting physicians during exams, ensuring the clinical environment is well-maintained, and managing patient information efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort patients, record vital signs, and update allergy/medication histories.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures, and provide patient education as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer SC/IM injections following OSHA standards.
• Sanitize exam rooms and process medical instruments according to protocols.
• Monitor and order clinical supplies to maintain an efficient work environment.
• Verify procedure consents and manage patient medical records.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and manage coordination of hospital admissions.
• Facilitate communication by managing patient calls and coordinating prescription refills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• MA Diploma
• BLS Certification
• 1+ years of MA experience
• Experience in a busy practice is preferred
• Previous Oncology Experience is preferred

Skills

• Proficient in phlebotomy and SC/IM injections
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage high-paced and busy practices
