Security Analyst – Intermediate100% Remote: No SC residency is required. The candidate must reside in the lower 48 states (Continental US) and be comfortable working EST time zone hours.About the JobDuration: 12-month contract with possibility of extensionClient Location: Columbia, SC 29201Job ID: 8093Scope of the Project:MEDICAID SECURITY FOR PAYMENT PROCESSING SYSTEMS.Daily Duties / Responsibilities:- Vulnerability scanning and coordinated remediation with responsible teams - Deploy and manage EDR - Review firewall requests - Research and assess newly released vulnerabilities - Assist with incident response and investigation - Assist with GRC assessments - Create alerts in SIEM based off data from various security toolsRequired Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):•1+ year experience supporting web applications •1+ year supporting databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, or MySQL •1+ years of experience with Nmap tool •1+ years' experience with Wireshark •2+ years' experience with vulnerability scanning • Ability to communicate vulnerability information to non-security personnel • Working knowledge of web applications • Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL • Strong understanding of networking (Nmap tool, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanning)Required Education: High SchoolPreferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):• Experience performing searching in SIEM • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls • Experience with NIST 800-53Preferred Certification:SECURITY+About Our CompanyDataSoft Technologies is a highly recognized provider of professional IT Consulting services in the US.
