Academic Professional Assistant/Associate Professor

Position Summary We are seeking an Academic Professional (Non‑tenure) Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Kinesiology to teach undergraduate physiology and related lab‑based courses within the Department of Kinesiology, along with two sections of Introduction to Interprofessional Education and Practice each semester, to support the Human Health Sciences undergraduate degree. This is a 9‑month appointment with the potential to teach summer classes. The Academic Professional Track offers non‑tenured rankings of Assistant Professor through Professor, with an emphasis on teaching and other professional responsibilities. Appointments are renewable. Core Responsibilities Teaching Kinesiology courses (e.g., Human Anatomy/Physiology, Exercise Physiology) and Human Health Sciences courses (e.g., Introduction to Interprofessional Education and Practice, Seminar in Interprofessional Education and Practice). Coordinate undergraduate kinesiology labs (scheduling, inventory) and supervise graduate student assistants who teach the labs. Advise undergraduate students on semester course selections and graduation planning. Engage in departmental, university, and community service, building strong relationships with entities whose curricular requirements overlap with those of the Kinesiology Department. Minimum Qualifications Hold a terminal clinical or academic doctorate in kinesiology, health sciences, or a related area with expertise in human physiology. Have previous clinical experience in an interprofessional health‑care setting or hold advanced degrees in two distinct disciplines within health and human sciences. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience teaching in higher education.
