Life Enr. Associate

The Life Enrichment Associate coordinates and facilitates daily group activities, special events, and individual one-on-one activities that make the residents lives more meaningful, stimulates their physical and mental capabilities, and attains optimal social, physical, and emotional stimulation. Duties and Responsibilities Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident. Assists with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities. Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs. Posts activity reminders to encourage participation. Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean up for such events. Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments. Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently. Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.
