Role Description The Medical Equipment Planner is a full-time, remote role. This role is responsible for planning, selecting, and coordinating medical equipment for health facilities, ensuring that equipment supports clinical needs, patient safety, and efficient workflows. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing equipment requirements with clinical and administrative stakeholders, interpreting floor plans and room templates, creating equipment lists and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams on ordering, delivery, and installation timelines. The Medical Equipment Planner also helps ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintains accurate documentation, and supports activation activities before facility opening. The role involves regular communication with project managers, clinical staff, and operations teams to resolve issues, update project status, and support a smooth transition into active patient care. Candidates must have Medical Equipment Planning specific experience in government or commercial healthcare environment. Candidate should possess strong Medical Terminology and Medicine knowledge to understand clinical equipment requirements and workflows. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with clinical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Actively participates in meetings to engage customer. Candidates should possess an understanding of Patient Care principles to align equipment planning with safety, comfort, and quality-of-care standards. Candidates should possess skills in project coordination, organization, and attention to detail for managing equipment lists, schedules, and documentation. Candidates should possess proficiency with common office and planning software (e.g., spreadsheets, project management tools) and the ability to interpret floor plans. Relevant experience in healthcare facility planning, biomedical equipment coordination, or a related healthcare operations role is beneficial. An associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, biomedical engineering, health administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
