Position Overview Salary range: The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. See the following table(s) for the current salary scale(s) for this position. The current full-time salary range for this position is $70,977-$199,722. Percent time: Appointments are typically part-time. Anticipated start: Positions usually start in January, various times throughout the summer and August. Position Description The Master of Climate Solutions program (MCS) in the Rausser College of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a one-year pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses with a focus area of Climate Solutions. When a need arises, we seek lecturers who can teach/co‑teach lecture, seminar, and/or laboratory courses in climate solutions, at the graduate levels. General duties: In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and maintaining a course website. Preferred Qualifications The completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree Documented experience in teaching one of the biological sciences at the college level is strongly preferred.
