CORA's Community Services Division is currently recruiting for an Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our Early Years Program at our Huntington Mills location.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Associate's Degree in ECE or CDA required.

Minimum starting salary - $16.00 - $17.00/hour (compensation commensurate with experience and credentials).

In addition, as an Assistant Preschool Teacher your duties will include:

• Assisting the Lead Teacher in implementing educational lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, in conjunction with the OCDEL-approved curriculum.
• Participating in individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Adhering to schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
• Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards, and safety and security of children.
• Helping to monitor growth and development of children based on established learning objectives using age-appropriate assessment tools.
• Establishing positive relationships with parents and maintaining frequent communication about student's growth and progress through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Participating collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the Early Years program.
• Helping with center-wide events, food program, preparation for assessments and audits, and other projects or tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a CDA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education.
• 2+ years' verifiable experience working with an early childhood population.
• Familiarity with Keystone STARS standards and/or DHS regulations preferred.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification required – CORA will pay for certification if hired without.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships within CORA as well as with children and their families.
• Demonstrated passion for engaging and teaching and supporting children.
• Good computer skills and working knowledge of Office 365 applications.
