Registered Nurse

This position is for a 13-week assignment on night shifts. The expectation is for 48 hours per week. BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications are required. Candidates are expected to cross-train to Mother/Baby and may be floated to NICU as needed. A pending license is acceptable, provided the license is in hand by the Wednesday before the start date. Time off must be pre-approved; a maximum of 40 hours is granted. Every other holiday and weekend coverage is expected. The average annual deliveries for the unit is approximately 2000. The unit features private labor rooms and triage beds. The population served includes both low-risk and high-risk patients. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support teams for various patient needs. Special procedures and equipment are utilized for care delivery. Patient ratios are generally 1-2 per nurse during all shifts. There are additional expectations for floating within the established scope of practice. References may be required during the hiring process. Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate required skills and complete necessary documentation. Nursys verification may be required prior to submission.
