Customer Service Representative (100% Remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking Customer Service Representatives to support a busy seasonal operation serving residential propane and heating oil customers. In this high-volume call center role, you will handle inbound calls related to deliveries, payments, billing inquiries, and account questions while providing exceptional customer service.

This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively de-escalate customer concerns while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Handle 50+ inbound calls per day

• Assist customers with fuel deliveries, account inquiries, billing questions, and payment processing

• Accurately document customer interactions and update account information

• Resolve customer issues with empathy, professionalism, and strong problem-solving skills

• Process transactions and over-the-phone payments

• Meet productivity and schedule adherence expectations in a monitored call center environment

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required

• High-volume call center experience strongly preferred

• Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills

• Excellent communication and active listening abilities

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and computer systems

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Attention to Detail Matters

This role requires strong basic math skills and a high degree of accuracy. Representatives will be responsible for processing fuel orders and payments, where even small errors can have significant consequences. Candidates must be comfortable working with numbers and maintaining precision while handling a high volume of calls.

Work Environment

• 100% remote

• Shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST

• Weekend and storm-related overtime may be required

• Productivity is closely monitored, including call volume, time in queue, current status, and schedule adherence

• Average call handle time is approximately 2.5 minutes

• Ability to connect directly via ethernet (hardwired connection required)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
