Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic RN to provide specialized outpatient nursing care in a busy ambulatory clinic setting. This role involves supporting bariatric and gastrointestinal surgery patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs through thorough clinical evaluation and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and care continuity.
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards, accreditation, and safety regulations.
• Float within scope to similar units, including GI medicine and general surgery, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of ambulatory clinic, GI surgery, or surgical experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Be certified in BLS (AHA preferred; MUSC accepts AHA).
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills with experience in outpatient surgical care.
• Exhibit excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Be eligible to work within a 60-mile radius of the facility.
