Indirect Tax Accountant II

About the role As a Tax Accountant II, you will take ownership of preparing, analyzing, and filing complex indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. This role is designed for a tax professional who has prior indirect tax experience and is ready to work more independently while contributing to process improvement and broader tax initiatives. What's in it for you $64,000-$80,000 base salary and comprehensive benefits package Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Tuition reimbursement and employee discounts Financial wellness programs and additional perks Increased ownership and autonomy over indirect tax filings Exposure to a wide range of tax types and jurisdictions Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Support for CPA or Master’s in Tax pursuit High visibility within the accounting and finance organization What you'll be doing Preparing and filing Sales & Use Tax, Business Personal Property, Business Licenses, and Unclaimed Property returns Assisting with journal entries and tax-related account reconciliations Supporting audits and internal tax inquiries Identifying opportunities for process improvement Completing special projects and additional assignments as needed What you need Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation 3+ years of professional experience Prior experience preparing indirect tax returns Strong Excel and analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines CPA or Master’s in Tax (or pursuing) is a plus Experience with Oracle and/or Avalara is a plus Employment visa sponsorship is unavailable for this position.
