Derivatives Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Derivatives Associate in New York. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in transactional and regulatory matters involving derivatives, focusing on trading documentation and complex transactions related to financings and capital markets. Duties Negotiate ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Annexes. Handle prime brokerage, repurchase, and securities lending arrangements. Structure and document various derivatives transactions. Advise on derivatives regulatory matters, including Dodd-Frank and CFTC requirements. Requirements 3+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or financial institution. Experience with investment managers or buy-side market participants preferred. Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills. New York Bar admission or eligibility preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admission to the New York Bar preferred. Skills Strong analytical and judgment skills. Interest in developing a broad derivatives practice.
