Position Summary tZERO Group, Inc., a pioneer in blockchain and tokenization for capital markets, is looking for a business-oriented Associate General Counsel to join its legal team. If you are interested in building a dynamic multi-asset platform and advancing digital asset infrastructure, tZERO may be the place for you. This position will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer of tZERO. This is a fully remote role for an attorney licensed to practice in New York. Core Responsibilities Advising on the various regulatory requirements relevant to tZERO’s business lines, including tZERO’s broker-dealer subsidiaries and its forthcoming derivatives clearing organization and designated contract market. Partner with other members of the legal and compliance team to structure and execute novel partnerships and commercial transactions. Support capital raising activities, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Support forward-looking technology initiatives and operations. Negotiate and draft commercial, vendor and other agreements. Advise on innovative regulatory and public policy issues. Cross-functional support on corporate governance, human resources and employee benefits, intellectual property, privacy, litigation, communications, shareholder matters, marketing and other core functions of the company, as appropriate. Who we are looking for A flexible team player that is interested in being part of a growing financial technology company and digital asset infrastructure and products. A mid-to senior-level associate at a leading law firm or an in-house attorney from a growth-stage company with prior experience in securities law matters, derivatives law matters, complex transactions and/or advancing digital asset innovation.
