Quality Analyst Sr (Level 3)

We are Lockheed Martin This position will work in Quality Control in Marietta, GA, to support all aspects of the C-130J build cycle to include assembly, structural repairs on sub or major assemblies, and functional checks. Responsibilities This position is responsible for ensuring QA policies, procedures, and practices are followed and executed correctly to company and regulatory standards. Initiates, reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality-related data/metrics from production, service, supplier, or process improvement activities and analyzes using statistical techniques. Interfaces as needed with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure process requirements are met. Facilitate customer presentations for Mandatory Government Inspections (MGI) and/or Safety of Flight activities (SOF). Conduct surveillance audits for compliance to the C-130 Quality Management System. Responsible for developing and coordinating defect containment actions. Collaborate with Quality Engineering on the root cause of defects and development of robust corrective actions. Provide mentorship and on-the-job training related to quality control methods, techniques, and tools to the inspectors and/or quality control workforce. Review completed assembly, process, test, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical quality records to determine data accuracy, acceptability, and completeness. Manages the quality records control process to assure adequate accountability and traceability. As required, the scope of work may span across shifts. Basic Qualifications Experience in aircraft manufacturing. Surveillance or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and understand technical requirements (e.g., specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, technical orders, technical publications, etc.). Ability to interface in a cross-functional environment (e.g., engineering, quality, production, supply chain, program office). Self-starter with knowledge and understanding of quality processes and disciplines. Experience with DCMA customer interface or communication. Previous experience working with data and developing metrics. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc. Desired Skills Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing or related engineering discipline. Strong working knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, 8210, etc. Experience as a team lead gathering and/or analyzing data to solve technical/process problems or develop a surveillance plan. Experience utilizing precision measuring tools and inspection equipment. Familiarity with Customer Presentations (DCMA) and or Safety of Flight inspections on the C-130J or similar military aircraft. Working knowledge of EDW, DIMS, Apriso, and SFM systems.
