Mechanical Engineering Internship

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Maryland Heights, MO to support design and project teams on commercial mechanical construction projects. Impact • Gain hands-on experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial facilities • Support project teams by preparing engineering calculations and drawings • Develop professional skills through mentorship and real-world project exposure • Contribute to sustainable building design through energy-efficient system solutions Responsibilities • Assist engineers with HVAC system design and equipment selection • Prepare mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT MEP • Perform load calculations and energy modeling analysis • Support submittal review and coordination activities • Attend project meetings and jobsite visits • Research new technologies and sustainable design solutions • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines on system integration • Learn project management processes and construction administration Requirements Must-Haves • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering • Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027 • Basic knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Strong communication and teamwork skills Nice-to-Haves • Coursework in HVAC design or energy systems • Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, or engineering analysis software • Interest in sustainable building design and LEED certification • Previous internship or co-op experience in engineering or construction Compensation & Logistics Competitive hourly rate for internship position; opportunity for full-time employment upon graduation.
