Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

SCHEDULE
- Shift Variations:
- Day Shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
- Evening Shifts: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
- Every 3rd weekend and holiday as needed
- No call

REQUIREMENTS
- Pediatric experience required
- 2+ years of PACU experience required, with strong knowledge of phase 1 recovery for large complex cases (neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine)
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks required
- Must pass telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Preferred Experience: TNCC

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Floating to other departments as needed

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and recovery status in a PACU setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Must comply with orientation and training protocols
- Background checks and drug screenings may be required
