Job Summary

The role of this position is to provide front office management and administrative support by performing a wide range of administrative, and operational duties critical to the operations of Lift Technicians, Mental Health Workers, Patient Transporters, Special Duty Caregivers, Telesitters and Volunteers. Incumbent is expected to assist in researching, planning, coordinating courses of action on internal and external projects. Assists in the resolution of administrative and operational issues, which have significant impact on the overall goals of the department.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work-related experience.
• Customer service or administrative support experience.
• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, record keeping and ability to establish and maintained filing system.
• Ability to establish a good rapport and professional working relationship with all departmental personnel to directly assist coworkers and maintain appropriate interdepartmental communications.
• Ability to use work processing, spreadsheets, data bases and presentation software.
• Proofreading skills to produce accurate, error-free documents and reports.
• Analytical thinking and report writing skills to pursue special projects and to identify/solve routine departmental concerns.
• Ability to work with guidance from supervisor and take initiative to follow up on projects and/or assignments.
• Ability to make decisions and resolve problems with supervision, and exercise good judgment with priorities.
• Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills; document and report clearly and concisely.
• Ability to convey instructions, directions, and information appropriately.
• Ability to set priorities, organize workload, and manage assigned tasks or projects simultaneously, while exercising appropriate judgment to successfully meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of the principles of quality control and quality assurance.
• Ability to assist with the development and generation of monthly management reports of personnel data for review by departmental management teams.
• Ability to recognize the need to produce meaningful and accurate reports whenever needed.
• Ability to compose reports, correspondence, and summaries in a comprehensive organized format.
• Communication skills necessary for interactions with department staff and other UC employees, as necessary.
• Ability to assist Supervisors and other employees in producing clear, concise letters and/or submissions of documents by editing.
• Ability to be resourceful and diplomatic in facilitating the completion of projects.
• Ability to work effectively with coworkers, administrative, executive staff and faculty always displaying a courteous and professional attitude.
• Ability to respond to situations and problems with objectivity and fairness.

Work Environment
