About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty applying for required (preferably within one location) License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: Must have 18 months of recent Step Down experience; travel experience will suffice. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be completed during orientation with an acceptable score required. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. All required certifications must be active with nothing pending. Description: This position is for a step down unit. There is potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population. Shifts are rotating between evenings and nights. The candidate must have a minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. Experience from travel assignments will be considered acceptable. Candidates must have a valid permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license. References from supervisors or managers in the specialty applying for are required for submission. No co-worker references will be accepted. All candidates must pass a background check prior to opportunities. Individuals with any open issues on their background checks will not be considered for this role. Nurses may be exempt from nicotine-free requirements temporarily. Candidates are expected to complete training and modules related to the position before starting.
