About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night or Day Rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required. License: Permanent Ohio license or Compact state license in hand required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience, travel experience acceptable. - Must work at least every other holiday. - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation. Description: This position is for a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse. The role involves caring for patients within the Med/Surg Tele specialty. There is a potential to float to care for similar patient populations. Shifts may include rotating between nights and days. The organization will do its best to honor preferred shifts but reserves the right to rotate if necessary. Only candidates with the required experience and active certifications will be considered. References from managers or supervisors in the specialty are required. All certifications must be current. Candidates will not be accepted if there are any open background cases or license hits. A negative drug screen is required. Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements. Travelers may extend their contracts by 18 months with a required six-month break afterward. Modules and assessments will be required and the time needed varies by specialty. Overall, candidates should be prepared to meet the needs of the facility and provide high-quality patient care.
