Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner, Urogynecology 1.0DV (7467-901) (1610528) Responsibilities Provides patient care under physician supervision and according to licensure in a clinic or inpatient setting. 1. Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environment of care, management of information and infection control standards. 2. Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times. 3. Complies with federal and state law and accrediting and licensing agencies at all times, to include but not limited to JCAHO and federal compliance regulations. 4. Collects and processes historical data for initial data bases and interval examinations. 5. Consults with the physicians freely when encountering new or complex medical or surgical problems, or if in doubt as to the established and usual course of therapy. 6. Develops and implements diagnostic and therapeutic programs for patients seen in clinical setting, constellating with physicians when appropriate and/or necessary. 7. Ensures patient communications by making phone calls to patients in a timely manner. 8. Participates in or provides under physician supervision selected procedures including dressing changes, wound care, and surgical procedures. 9. Maintains charts in EMR and maintains MMC flow sheet, databases, medication and problem lists according to Clinic Performance Improvement Plan. 10. Presents medical records for periodic review by supervising physician. 11. Demonstrates minimum acceptable knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population serviced, based on physical, psychological, educational and safety needs. 12. Attends job related seminars and workshops. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. 14. Appreciates the care and needs of women and their sensitive urogynecologic issues. 15. Must be personable and caring at all times. Qualifications Graduate of a Certified Physician Assistant Program or Master’s Degree in Nursing and specialization in specific patient population. Preferred Experience Relevant health care experience. Required Licensure Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Michigan. #J-18808-Ljbffr
