Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,186 per week in Chicago, IL

About the Position Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical‑Surgical, located in Chicago, IL. Pay $2,186 per week for a 13‑week contract starting 7/21/2026. Days – 3×12‑hour shifts (07:00–19:30). State‑licensed and certified (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS). Must be licensed in Illinois and hold a current IL travel certification. Responsibilities Provide acute care services to Med/Surg patients, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs. Manage and respond to rapid‑response and code events. Float within the Cook facility and occasionally to other units, as directed by management, with notice up to 2 hours prior. Document patient care in Cerner electronic health record. Adhere to call and RTO policy: no more than 5 days, no more than 2 consecutive days, no RTO on weekends or holiday proximity. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent acute‑care experience in Med/Surg. Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Proficiency with Cerner charting system. English proficiency and ability to communicate effectively within a team. Must be licensed in Illinois and provide proof at submission. Available to float at any Cook facility within 75 mi; willing to work 5 days maximum RTO per week. Other Requirements Two professional references from the most recent employers required before start. Eligible to travel locally; local rates apply to those within 75 miles. Must complete all required modules and lab work within 72 h of contract acceptance.
