Service Technician/Mechanic

Essential Job Responsibilities:Performs machine repair and maintenance services both in the shop and at customer sitesOperates and maintains electric and/or air powered hand toolsParticipates in testing and commissioning productsPerforms pre-startup checks to ensure machines are ready for useMeets and/or exceeds the Company’s work quality standards using visual and mechanical inspection methodsOperates heavy equipment safety and effectivelyWorks safely by following established safety procedures and through awareness helps to ensure the safety of others near and around the work areaChanges and disposes of hazardous waste, such as oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, parts cleaner and other relevant materials using health and safety protocols according to Company and government guidelinesTroubleshoots equipment and systems using hydraulic and/or electrical schematicsCompletes repair tickets accurately and thoroughly, indicating work completed and any needed follow-upCommunicates services and repairs performed to the customer in a professional mannerCompetencies:Mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair skillsStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent organizational and time management habitsGood oral and written communications skillsTreats equipment and tools responsiblyService-oriented mindsetAssists team members when neededSelf-starter and motivated to complete the job right, the first timeAccomplishes tasks efficiently without compromising service qualityPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds without assistanceThis position requires sitting, standing, twisting, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling on a daily basisMust be able to work indoors or outdoors under a variety of temperatures and weather conditionsHigh School Diploma or GEDVocational Training or 2+ years of experience performing heavy machinery mechanical services (Volvo, Roadtec, Bornag Etnyre, brands preferred)2+ years of hydraulic, electrical and heavy construction equipment experienceProficiency using heavy machinery diagnostics equipmentMust have own set of toolsMust pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screeningPossessing or obtaining Class B CDL license within first 60 days of employmentAbility to work overtime and weekends as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr G.W.
