Human Resource Director

Goldwater Care Clinton is seeking a Human Resource Director to help lead HR operations onsite in Clinton, IL . This role is central to supporting hiring, employee relations, and compliance in a nursing care facility environment, helping ensure quality personnel are interviewed, trained, and employed. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 20–26 and is focused on building strong people practices with confidentiality and resident rights at the center. Responsibilities Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the HR department. Review department directors’ requests for new or replacement personnel, fill requests as approved, and arrange interviews and appointments. Check applications and references for prospective employees, then arrange interviews with department directors as requested or required. Maintain an adequate personnel record filing system that meets facility needs and complies with current employment practices. Ensure hiring and discharge procedures follow established procedures and facility policies. Conduct employee background checks in line with the facility’s established procedures. Orient new personnel to the facility and explain personnel policies and procedures, payroll procedures, safety procedures, grievance procedures, and related operational policies. Counsel or discipline personnel as requested or as necessary. Conduct exit interviews and record relevant data in employees’ personnel records. Maintain a strong employee relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and the community alike. Schedule all-staff in‑servicing throughout the year for mandatory training, including OSHA, HIPAA, and compliance topics. Assist with development of department budgets related to personnel administration. Maintain the confidentiality of all employee information. Ensure newly hired employees receive a copy of the facility’s residents’ rights. Report any known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of confidential information. Ensure resident rights to fair and equitable treatment, self‑determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are maintained at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred (not required). Minimum 2 years of experience in HR Administration. Thorough knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to personnel administration in nursing care facilities . Physical Demands Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet , and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry that weight at least 50 feet . #J-18808-Ljbffr
